A Legacy of Service
The mission of Ember Enrichment Centers is driven by the 16-year commitment of our founder, Nathan Sutton. Nathan served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, completing three combat tours. This firsthand experience with the rigors of service and the challenges of reintegration forms the empathetic core of everything we do at Ember.
Deep Institutional Knowledge
Following his military service, Nathan spent twelve years working directly for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This decade-plus of internal experience allowed him to master the VHA and VBA structures from the inside out. He has founded three nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting Veterans, demonstrating a lifelong dedication to advocacy and service.
The Mission to Educate
Nathan founded Ember Enrichment Centers because he realized that while the VA offers hundreds of benefits, less than half of Veterans actually use them. He identified that the main barrier to access is a lack of education and a system that is often too complex for individuals to navigate alone. His goal is to stand in the way of organizations that charge Veterans for assistance, ensuring that benefits remain a right, not a paid service.
